Opportunity for Young People to Support the Young People's Action Summit

Do you know someone who would be interested in supporting the first Gloucester Young People's Action Summit?

This FREE event will bring together young people and organisations to look at issues such as health and wellbeing, youth opportunities and Gloucester’s youth violence prevention strategy.

They are recruiting young people aged 16 - 25 for two different roles:

Facilitators

These young people will lead each table, making sure everyone is heard - with a focus on hearing from young participants. The job will involve getting the table working on the task and staying focused. They'll need to be available for an online briefing session on 12th January (90 minutes, time to be confirmed) and in person in Gloucester on 18th January from 1pm to 8.30pm. Facilitators will each receive a stipend of £100 plus travel.

Participants

Participants are needed to take part in table discussions, with support from the facilitator. Facilitators will attend one of the two workshops on the day, either 1.30pm to 4.30pm or 5.30pm to 8.30pm (the timings of session 2 may change). Participants will receive a stipend of £35 plus travel.

If you would like to apply, please contact Jay Rowe on Jay.Rowe@gloucester.gov.uk swith the answers to these questions:

  • Why I'd like to be a <insert role> at the Gloucester Young People's Action Summit.

  • What support I'd need to take part.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 21st December.
